Airbus A380 - Dandelion

Ladies and Gentlemen,

The gigantic wings of the Airbus A380 sometimes make me sad... Obviously you need the immense wing surface to lift the airliner in the air and such huge wings have to be strong as well - that means they are quite thick close to the fuselage...

If the Airbus A380 could receive "supercritical" wings similarly to the most advanced aircraft of Boeing or to the Airbus A350 XWB then the drag, noise, weight and fuel consumption of the airliner could be further reduced... Who knows, maybe the freighter version of the Airbus A380 could be realised, too taking advantage of supercritical wings...

Maybe the gigantic elevators of the Airbus A380 could be supercritical, too... The elevators of the Airbus A380 are as huge as the main wings of smaller aircraft... Supercritical elevators could be lighter and have a smaller drag than the current ones...

New Concorde - Sightseeing

Ladies and Gentlemen,

I think I wrote already about this idea of mine in connection with space tourism - but I would like to repeat it as hypersonic travelling is very similar to space tourism...

Let's say an airplane is capable of flying at Mach 10... That means it leaves behind approx. 10,000 km every hour... That means such an airplane can circumnavigate the Earth in roughly 4 hours...

Now if passengers are ready to devote 14 hours to a flight from London to Sydney then they can fly around the Earth 3 times during this period of time and also travel from London to Sydney... In other words: 3 world trips could be included on a flight by a hypersonic jet on any routes...

In case of a space shuttle you can spend 2 weeks by orbiting the Earth between starting anywhere and landing anywhere... In this understanding of space tourism not the connection of two cities is the most interesting part but enjoying an exceptional view of our planet and of outer space such as experiencing the unique environment of space...

New Concorde - Space-time Leap

Ladies and Gentlemen,

The airframe of New Concorde could be also enhanced by shaping zig-zags on the trailing edges of the wings and of the vertical stabilisers... The new trailing edges couldn't only reduce the drag of the airplane but a nice and straight airflow can be also called a "jet" compared to the whirls that are usually generated by aircraft... Thus the wings could be more efficient and perhaps even contribute to the propulsion of New Concorde... Fewer whirls after an aircraft mean less noise as well...

New Concorde - The Bestseller

Ladies and Gentlemen,

You might believe that the airframe of Concorde cannot be improved significantly as it is spacious and capable of reaching supersonic speeds... However Concorde was only a mid-size airplane with a length of 62 meters... In my opinion New Concorde could be extended towards being a very large airplane with a length of 72 meters... While the fuselage was 10 meters longer than before the wings could have the traditional wingspan of 25,6 meters...

A longer fuselage had the following results:

a) 6 x 4 = 24 more seats,
b) even higher cruising speeds and
c) an enhanced fuel consumption...

Within the longer fuselage a gas-converter could be installed, too... This implement could turn wooden waste into biogas and thus you could fuel New Concorde in an entirely environmentally friendly way...

Marvellous Africa

Ladies and Gentlemen,

In our imagination elephants live both in the jungles of the Kongo and in the Savannahs - how can that be? The only explanation is that they can fly... Along with gorillas and wales...

The Static Analysis Of Fairy Tales

Ladies and Gentlemen,

After V.I. Propp studied the morphology of fairy tales I would like to write about the content of fairy tales... As most fairy tales contain a King I think that fairy tales deal with politics in symbolic terms... Further explanation:

1) Characters in a fairy tale:

a) A dragon means any kind of abnormality in fairy tales...
b) A hero always has got one or more friends - or a miracle happens to him that means God is with him...
c) There can be a devil in a fairy tale, too...

2) US American fairy tales:

a) I am convinced that children's cartoon movies represent the US American fairy tales... Only that they are produced and broadcasted by modern television technology... Children's cartoon movies mean the base of modern popular arts, as well...
b) Regarding their content US American fairy tales may be the continuation of European traditions... For example the stories of Tom and Jerry are about the military...

3) Arabian fairy tales:

a) As far as I know Arabian fairy tales they are about project management...
b) For example: a very rich salesman, a very intelligent wife, box in a box arrangement etc.
c) European fairy tales deal with project management, too... It is typical that a King announces a competition for the marriage with his daughter...

4) Grimm's fairy tales:

a) Frau Holle - work or deceit
b) Schneewittchen - the Minister President and the Ministers, the angry step-mother thinks that Schneewittchen stands above her, the Prince breathes life in Schneewittchen
c) Dornröschen - top secret
d) Aschenputtel - escape

5) Comments:

a) Of course, there are many other types of fairy tales, too such as fairy tales about animals or Indian fairy tales...
b) It is for sure that children need the experience of fairy tales in their original terms and no modern explanations about politics...
c) If you start with the interpretation of another symbol than the King you may find other topics in fairy tales... For example: the successful youngest son - gay life, magic tool - industry or economical life etc.
