My foster-mother believes that romantic love is a supernatural experience - in a similar way to eating... I think she is fully right... Animals are for example very mechanical and rigid in this respect...
It would be interesting to research how a human being and his or her brain, respectively are capable of supernatural functioning... I am sure it is not through potassium-sodium-pumps and neurotransmitters - they must work very slowly and may be responsible only for a general control of the body and of the brain...
I think that the language of symbols (including spoken languages, too) which is used both by humans and by God is more likely to be the base of supernatural experiences and of a connection to God...
